Literatura — kanon rozdziałów
Układ 30 rozdziałów, dobór twórców i hierarchia ważności filmów zostały wyprowadzone z literatury przedmiotu, a nie z algorytmu YouTube:
- Giannalberto Bendazzi, Animation: A World History, t. I–III, CRC Press / Routledge 2016 — najobszerniejsza światowa historia animacji; podstawa układu chronologiczno-geograficznego i rozdziałów o szkołach narodowych.
- Maureen Furniss, A New History of Animation, Thames & Hudson 2016 — podstawa periodyzacji: od prehistorii ruchu, przez awangardę i wojnę, po erę cyfrową.
- Paul Wells, Understanding Animation, Routledge 1998 — kategorie estetyczne (animacja ortodoksyjna / eksperymentalna).
- Paweł Sitkiewicz, Polska szkoła animacji, słowo/obraz terytoria 2011 — podstawa rozdziałów 18–19 i osadzenia polskiej szkoły na tle epoki szkół narodowych.
- Marcin Giżycki, Nie tylko Disney. Rzecz o filmie animowanym, WAiF 2000 — perspektywa animacji autorskiej i awangardowej.
Metoda hybrydowa
1. Z książek wyprowadzono kanon: 30 rozdziałów i ~300 filmów-kotwic z nazwiskami i datami.

Sources & method
Where this portal comes from
Literature — the chapter canon
The 30-chapter structure, the selection of artists and the hierarchy of films were derived from the scholarly literature, not from the YouTube algorithm:
- Giannalberto Bendazzi, Animation: A World History, vols. I–III, CRC Press / Routledge 2016 — the most comprehensive world history of animation; basis of the chronological-geographical structure and the national-school chapters.
- Maureen Furniss, A New History of Animation, Thames & Hudson 2016 — basis of the periodisation: from the prehistory of motion through the avant-garde and wartime to the digital era.
- Paul Wells, Understanding Animation, Routledge 1998 — aesthetic categories (orthodox vs. experimental animation).
- Paweł Sitkiewicz, Polska szkoła animacji, słowo/obraz terytoria 2011 — basis of chapters 18–19 and of situating the Polish School among the national schools.
- Marcin Giżycki, Nie tylko Disney. Rzecz o filmie animowanym, WAiF 2000 — the auteur and avant-garde perspective.
The hybrid method
1. A canon was derived from the books: 30 chapters and ~300 anchor films with names and dates.
2. The canon was confronted with YouTube's holdings — official archival, studio and artists' channels first; every result verified (is it the film itself, not material about it; duration; print quality; embeddability).
3. What is not legally available in full is represented by official fragments and trailers (labelled on the cards). Gaps were recorded rather than papered over with bad copies.
